WOODWARD B. McKAIG
Woody McKaig was called to the Bar and admitted to
the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1976. He graduated from the University of
Windsor in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and
received his law degree from that University in 1974.
Until the early 1990's, Woody practiced mainly in
the areas of civil litigation, family law and criminal law. He was a part time
Assistant Crown Attorney for approximately ten years and was a Federal Drug
Prosecutor for five. In addition, he maintained a general litigation practice
which included defense work as well as family law,
commercial litigation and personal injury
matters.
The litigation experience led to public sector work,
and, since about 1990, Woody has gradually limited his practice to
administrative law matters and labour relations law in conjunction with his
work for public sector clients. In addition, Woody has significant experience
in municipal restructuring.
Woody has been a guest lecturer on criminal law and
family law to university, college and public interest groups and has assisted
with the training of new members of large public boards. |
