PETER T. BANWELL, Q.C.
In 1966, Peter graduated with an economics and
mathematics degree from Queen's University. Over the next three years he
attained the highest standing in his class at Queen's Law School. In 1971,
Peter was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada. He advises on all
aspects of business law, with an emphasis on corporate, tax and financial
planning for private corporations, small businesses and their owners. He is a
frequent guest speaker and has presented papers for both the Ontario and
Canadian Bar Associations.
He has published several commercial law articles and
was an early contributor to Current Tax Planning (Carswell). Peter acts as
counsel on income tax appeals to the Tax Court and Federal Court of Canada and
is currently a member of the Board of Directors of a major Canadian
franchisor.
In 1983, he was appointed Queen's Counsel by the
Province of Ontario. He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and numerous
professional associations. |
